Technobis Crystallization Systems, is the global market leader in crystallization reactor design and manufacturing. Their sophisticated equipment creates controlled environments in which a wide variety of substances are allowed to crystallize, forming different so-called habits, depending on the environmental conditions they are exposed to. The crystallization process is monitored with up to 8 digital cameras, equipped with high-end optics.
In the advanced mode of the latest generation of their Crystalline® product range, Technobis Crystallization Systems deploys the Motive Metrics® engine and its AI-based analysis capabilities to analyse the, sometimes thousands, of images that come in from the reactors and generate relevant process metrics, such as the timing of crystal formation, the relative percentage of various habits, size distributions and many sorts of shape characteristics.
The use of the Motive Metrics® engine enables Crystalline® users to reliably distinguish between different crystal habits and generate relevant metrics even in complex situations, such as when many shapes cluster together or overlap or when the first very small particles start to form. Being sold in demanding markets, such as the pharmaceutical industry, precision in a multitude of situations is extremely important.
